Vital Statistics
After teaching elementary school children in Brooklyn and Queens for 17 years, I embarked on a new ministry for the next 27 years. I began teaching adults - giving parent classes, conducting catechist training programs, organizing conventions (for 3-4000 people), editing a Catechist Training Program that is still being used throughout the country and instituting Master's Teacher Programs in many dioceses nationwide - all within the realm of adult religious education. Over these 27 years, I did a great deal of travelling to parishes in cities and rural areas. I was a Diocesan Religious Formation Consultant in the dioceses of Brooklyn, Omaha (NE), Harrisburg (PA), Springfield (IL) and Director of the Office for Religious Formation in Anchorage, Alaska. I wish I had a nickel for every mile I have driven! For the past five years, I have been giving individual instruction to 5th and 6th graders in public school in Omaha. I'm living in a Senior Residence and loving it - except for my own cooking.
