After graduating from St. Thomas Aquinas in June 1938 I attended Bishop McDonnell Memorial High School on Eastern Parkway. I graduated from there in June 1942. In February 1944 I married my childhood sweetheart, James Maher. We had 2 children, a girl and a boy. My husband passed away in 1974. I have lived on Long Island since 1961. A retired teacher, I now live in East Islip, Long Island.

I have many fond memories of St. Thomas and the wonderful Sisters of St. Joseph who taught me. I also remember with love the dedicated lay teachers - Miss Morris, Miss Feeney and Miss Dooley
